This compound exhibits significant antiviral activity against HCoV-229E, with an EC50 value of 4.7 μM in cytopathic effect assays, while showing no antiviral effects against influenza A virus. Additionally, M2 Ion Channel Blocker-2 demonstrates negligible inhibition of hERG and key cytochrome P450 enzymes (CYP1A2, CYP2C19, and CYP3A4), making it a useful tool for research in virology and ion channel modulation.
