Mal-Cz

Probe

Mal-Cz is a maltose-derived fluorescence-on imaging probe designed for the selective detection of E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus. This probe features an azide group that allows it to participate in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with alkyne-containing molecules. Additionally, Mal-Cz can engage in strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with DBCO or BCN functionalized compounds, making it a versatile tool for bacterial imaging and detection in various research applications.
