Mammea A/BA

Antitrypanosomal Agent

Mammea A/BA is an effective antitrypanosomal agent targeting Trypanosoma cruzi. It demonstrates significant biological activity by inducing mitochondrial dysfunction, promoting reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and causing DNA fragmentation. Additionally, Mammea A/BA increases the number of acidic vacuoles and can stimulate apoptosis, autophagy, and necrosis. This compound is valuable for research related to Chagas disease and the exploration of potential therapeutic strategies.
