Melflufen

Alkylating Agent

Melflufen (Melphalan flufenamide) functions as an alkylating agent with significant antitumor activity against multiple myeloma (MM) cells. This dipeptide prodrug of Melphalan induces irreversible DNA damage, leading to cytotoxic effects in MM cells. Additionally, Melflufen exhibits the ability to inhibit angiogenesis, making it a valuable tool for research into cancer therapies and treatment strategies for hematological malignancies.
