Methyl lucidenate D

EBV-EA Inhibitor

Methyl lucidenate D is a selective inhibitor of Epstein-Barr virus early antigen (EBV-EA) activation, exhibiting an IC50 value of 290 mol ratio/32 pmol TPA. This compound demonstrates potential anti-tumor-promoting activity by inhibiting TPA-induced EBV-EA activation while preserving Raji cell viability at effective concentrations (70%). Methyl lucidenate D is applicable in cancer chemoprevention research, providing valuable insights into therapeutic strategies targeting viral influences in tumorigenesis.
