Parent (−)-blebbistatin in a mouse dermatitis model
Animal study · Female NC/Nga mice, 8 weeks old at acquisition, with mite-antigen-induced ear dermatitis; n = 8 per group [1]
Daily topical parent (−)-blebbistatin showed a downward trend in dermatitis score without a statistically significant difference from vehicle. Ear-thickness change was also not significantly different from vehicle. Body-weight change was not affected by drug administration. The significant improvements reported for the O-benzoate derivative are not assigned to the parent.
| Endpoint | Reported result | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| Dermatitis score | Comparison with vehicle Downward trend; no statistically significant difference | [1] |
| Change in ear thickness | Comparison with vehicle No statistically significant difference | [1] |
