Lanosterol Synthase Inhibitor
MM0299 is a potent inhibitor of lanosterol synthase (LSS), exhibiting an IC50 of 2.2 μM. It effectively inhibits the proliferation of Mut6 cells with an IC50 of 0.0182 μM by promoting the formation of 24(S),25-epoxycholesterol (EPC) and depleting cellular cholesterol levels. This compound is valuable for research exploring cholesterol metabolism and its implications in related diseases.
