Muvalaplin

Lp (a) Inhibitor

Muvalaplin is an orally active, selective inhibitor of lipoprotein (a) (Lp(a)), targeting the non-covalent interaction between apolipoprotein(a) and apolipoprotein B100. By preventing the formation of disulfide bonds, Muvalaplin effectively reduces Lp(a) levels, as demonstrated in transgenic mouse models and cynomologus monkeys. This compound holds significant potential for research into cardiovascular diseases and dyslipidemia related to elevated Lp(a) levels.
