Nafimidone

Antiepileptic compound

Nafimidone is a stable and brain-penetrant antiepileptic compound that primarily targets seizure activity. It demonstrates effective anticonvulsant properties in the kindled amygdaloid seizure model, making it a valuable tool for epilepsy research. Despite its efficacy, nafimidone has a narrow therapeutic window and may induce epileptogenic effects at elevated doses, highlighting the importance of dosage considerations in research applications.
