Neriifolin

Apoptosis Inhibitor

Neriifolin is a potent apoptosis inhibitor that primarily targets Na+, K+-ATPase. This CNS-penetrating cardiac glycoside disrupts the formation of LC3-associated phagosomes by interacting with beclin 1, which contributes to the suppression of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) development. Additionally, Neriifolin induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in human hepatocellular carcinoma HepG2 cells, making it a valuable reagent for cancer and neuroinflammatory research applications.
