Netivudine
Nucleoside Antimetabolite/Analog Inhibitor
Netivudine is a nucleoside antimetabolite that acts as an analog inhibitor with significant antiviral activity against varicella zoster virus. In addition to its biological applications, Netivudine features an alkyne group, enabling its use in click chemistry through copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc).
