Ninerafaxstat trihydrochloride

Mitotropic Agent

Ninerafaxstat trihydrochloride is a mitotropic agent that functions as a competitive inhibitor of 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase (3-KAT). By partially suppressing fatty acid oxidation, it promotes a shift from free fatty acid oxidation to glucose oxidation in cardiac tissues, thus enhancing myocardial energy homeostasis and improving cardiac efficiency. This compound is particularly relevant for research applications focused on cardiovascular diseases and myocardial substrate utilization.
