ONO-2952

TSPO Antagonist

ONO-2952 is a potent and selective antagonist of the translocator protein (TSPO), with inhibition constants (Ki) ranging from 0.33 to 9.30 nM for both rat and human TSPO. This compound demonstrates remarkable selectivity for TSPO over a variety of other receptors, transporters, ion channels, and enzymes. ONO-2952 alleviates stress by modulating the activation of the noradrenergic system in the brain, without inducing amnesic effects. It holds promise for therapeutic applications in treating irritable bowel syndrome and related conditions.
