MMP Inhibitor

OPB-3206 is a selective matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) inhibitor that targets MMP-2, MMP-9, interstitial collagenase, and stromelysin with IC50 values of 7×10^-7 M, 5×10^-6 M, 5×10^-7 M, and 2×10^-6 M, respectively. By reversibly binding to the zinc-binding region of MMPs, OPB-3206 effectively prevents the activation of MMP-9, thereby reducing extracellular matrix degradation and inhibiting tumor lung metastasis. This compound shows promise for research focused on the metastatic behavior of osteosarcoma.
