Drug Derivative

Drug derivatives are analogs, stereoisomers, esters and conjugates based on known drugs or natural products. C5 Lenalidomide is a variant of lenalidomide, a ligand of the E3 ubiquitin ligase substrate receptor cereblon. The stereoisomers (1R,9S)-Exatecan and (9R)-Exatecan relate to exatecan, a camptothecin-derived topoisomerase I inhibitor. rel-Latanoprost acid corresponds to the free acid of latanoprost, a prostaglandin F2α analog, with relative stereochemistry. Natural product esters are also included, such as cycloartenyl ferulate, an ester of ferulic acid with the triterpenoid alcohol cycloartenol. These compounds support structure-activity studies, comparisons between stereoisomers and the design of conjugates. Precursors used earlier in a synthesis route are listed under Drug Intermediate.
