Dual-target Anti-inflammatory Peptide
Pegtarazimod is a dual-target anti-inflammatory peptide that regulates both the complement system and neutrophil-associated inflammatory pathways. It demonstrates significant biological activity by reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and lowering neutrophil elastase levels in vivo, thereby mitigating inflammatory responses. Pegtarazimod has shown improved survival rates in multiple in vivo models of acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) and exhibits efficacy against herpes simplex virus type 1 infections by inhibiting the activation of the C1 complex.
