PPOH
Cyclooxygenase Inhibitor
PPOH is a selective cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitor that effectively impedes the cyclooxygenase activity of arachidonic acid in renal cortical microsomes. Additionally, it exhibits inhibitory effects on CYP4A2 and CYP4A3, with IC50 values of 22 μM and 6.5 μM, respectively. As a click chemistry reagent, PPOH features an alkyne group that allows for copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc), making it suitable for diverse chemical biology applications and functionalization in research.
