Antitrypanosomal Agent

Proteasome-IN-6 is a potent inhibitor of the β5 catalytic subunit of the Trypanosoma brucei 20S proteasome. It demonstrates significant antitrypanosomal activity against Trypanosoma brucei brucei, Trypanosoma brucei gambiense, and Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense, with EC50 values of 157 nM, 220 nM, and 156 nM, respectively. This compound is utilized in research applications focused on the treatment of trypanosomiasis, and it has shown efficacy in mouse models.
