R 59-022 hydrochloride

DGK Inhibitor

R 59-022 hydrochloride is a potent diacylglycerol kinase (DGK) inhibitor, exhibiting an IC50 of 2.8 µM. This compound inhibits the conversion of 1-oleoyl-2-acetylglycerol (OAG) to O-phosphoacylglycerol (OAPA) while also acting as a 5-HT receptor antagonist. Additionally, R 59-022 hydrochloride activates protein kinase C (PKC), enhances thrombin-induced diacylglycerol production in platelets, and suppresses phosphatidic acid synthesis in neutrophils. Its applications include investigations into platelet activation and neutrophil signaling pathways.
