DGK Inhibitor
R 59-022 is a selective diacylglycerol kinase (DGK) inhibitor with an IC50 value of 2.8 µM. This compound effectively inhibits the phosphorylation of 1-oleoyl-2-acetylglycerol (OAG) to 1-oleoyl-2-phosphonoacetic acid (OAPA). Additionally, R 59-022 acts as a 5-HT receptor antagonist and activates protein kinase C (PKC). Its ability to potentiate thrombin-induced diacylglycerol production in platelets and inhibit phosphatidic acid production in neutrophils makes it a valuable tool for studying signaling pathways in various cellular contexts.
