(Rac)-Telinavir
Rracemate of Telinavir
(Rac)-Telinavir is a racemic mixture of Telinavir, a potent and selective inhibitor of HIV protease. This compound effectively inhibits both lymphotropic and monocytotropic strains, as well as field isolates of HIV type 1 (HIV-1), HIV-2, and simian immunodeficiency virus, demonstrating EC50 values of 26 ng/mL (43 nM). Telinavir has a high protein binding capacity in human plasma and shows low distribution into erythrocytes, making it a valuable tool for research in HIV drug development and protease inhibition studies.
