Romiplostim
TPO receptor (c-Mpl) Agonist
Romiplostim is a thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor (c-Mpl) agonist that acts as an Fc-peptide fusion protein mimetic of endogenous TPO. By binding to c-Mpl, Romiplostim stimulates megakaryocyte-mediated thrombopoiesis and activates similar downstream signaling pathways as natural TPO. This reagent is particularly useful for research applications involving hematopoietic acute radiation syndrome and chronic immune thrombocytopenia.
