Squalene Synthase Inhibitor

RPR107393 is a potent and selective inhibitor of squalene synthase (SQS) that functions by blocking the enzyme's activity, demonstrated by an IC50 of 0.8 nM against rat liver microsomal SQS. This compound effectively reduces triglyceride biosynthesis by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis through an increase in intracellular farnesol and its derivatives.
