S1QEL1.1

Complex I Inhibitor

S1QEL1.1 is a selective inhibitor of mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I, targeting the superoxide and hydrogen peroxide generation at the IQ site during reverse electron transfer, with an IC50 of 0.07 μM. This small molecule significantly mitigates the activation of caspases associated with endoplasmic reticulum stress. Additionally, S1QEL1.1 plays a crucial role in regulating stem cell proliferation by inhibiting the Reactive Oxygen Species signaling pathway activated by endoplasmic reticulum stress, making it a valuable tool for studying oxidative stress and mitochondrial function in various biological contexts.
