NHE3 Inhibitor
S3226 is a selective inhibitor of the Na+/H+ exchanger subtype 3 (NHE3), demonstrating an IC50 of 0.2 µmol/L in rat NHE3 transfected fibroblasts. This compound exhibits protective effects in models of ischemia-induced acute renal failure in rats, making it a valuable tool for research into renal pathophysiology and the modulation of ion transport mechanisms.
