Sandoricin

Insecticide

Sandoricin is a limonoid compound primarily acting as an insecticide through its antifeedant properties. It has been shown to significantly reduce feeding in larvae of Fall Armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) and European Corn Borer (Ostrinia nubilalis), leading to decreased growth rates and delayed pupation at lower concentrations. Higher doses induce substantial larval mortality, indicating its potential as a field insecticide for agricultural applications.
