Mitochondrial Complex I Inhibitor
SCAL-255 is a powerful mitochondrial Complex I (CI) inhibitor, characterized by an IC50 of 1.14 μM. By obstructing mitochondrial function, SCAL-255 effectively inhibits oxygen consumption rates (OCR), promotes the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), and diminishes mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP). This compound is suitable for investigating oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS)-dependent cancers, including colorectal cancer (CRC) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
