SMAPP1
PP1 Activator
SMAPP1 is a potent activator of protein phosphatase-1 (PP1). This compound effectively enhances the phosphorylation of CDK9 at Ser90 and Thr186, while leaving Ser175 unaffected. SMAPP1 has been shown to induce HIV-1 replication and significantly upregulate HIV-1 transcription, contributing to the reactivation of latent HIV-1 provirus. Its properties make it a valuable tool for studies related to HIV latency and viral reactivation.
