SMURF1 Inhibitor
Smurf1-IN-5 is an allosteric inhibitor of SMAD ubiquitin regulatory factor 1 (SMURF1). This compound effectively reduces the ubiquitylation of key substrates, including BMPR2 and SMAD1, thereby enhancing the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling pathway. Smurf1-IN-5 holds potential for advancing research into pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and other conditions linked to dysregulation of BMP signaling.
