Spermine Prodrug-1

Spermine Prodrug

Spermine Prodrug-1 is a redox-sensitive precursor of spermine that serves as a valuable tool for investigating Snyder-Robinson syndrome. This compound demonstrates inhibitory effects on both wild-type (CMS-24949) and spermine synthase gene (SMS) mutant (CMS-26559, CMS-6233) fibroblast cell lines, with IC50 values of 326.7 µM, 198.5 µM, and 244.1 µM, respectively. Its ability to modulate spermine levels makes it applicable in studies focused on cellular redox balance and related pathologies.
