Suc-Ala-Pro-Ala-AMC is a synthetic tripeptide substrate specifically designed for elastase activity. Upon cleavage by elastase, this compound releases the fluorescent moiety AMC, enabling sensitive detection and quantification of elastase enzymatic activity.
