Sulbactam sodium

Beta-lactamase Inhibitor

Sulbactam sodium is a competitive, irreversible beta-lactamase inhibitor, primarily targeting beta-lactamases in bacterial pathogens. It exhibits significant antimicrobial activity against multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter calcoaceticus–Acinetobacter baumannii (Acb) complex, making it a valuable compound for research into antibiotic resistance. This reagent is useful for studying mechanisms of resistance and developing novel therapeutic strategies in the fight against MDR infections.
