Sulodexide

Antithrombotic Agent

Sulodexide is a glycosaminoglycan mixture primarily acting as an antithrombotic agent by interacting with antithrombin III and heparin cofactor II, thereby inhibiting thrombin formation. It demonstrates notable profibrinolytic activity through the release of tissue plasminogen activator, contributing to its efficacy in managing thrombosis. Additionally, Sulodexide exhibits endothelial protective and anti-inflammatory properties, making it useful in the treatment of chronic venous disease and other vascular disorders.
