TachypleginA

Antiparasitic agent

TachypleginA is an antiparasitic agent that targets the myosin motor of Toxoplasma gondii. By covalently binding to cysteine 58 of TgMLC1, TachypleginA inhibits the motility of the parasite, leading to a reduction in its activity. This compound is valuable for research applications focusing on the mechanism of motility in T. gondii and potential therapeutic strategies against parasitic infections.
