Tetraxetan

Chelating Agent

Tetraxetan (DOTA) is a macrocyclic chelating agent that effectively forms stable coordination complexes with various metal ions, including 68Ga, 111In, and 177Lu. Its ability to conjugate with targeting molecules, such as RGD peptides and folic acid, allows for directed targeting of specific biomolecules or cells. Tetraxetan is particularly useful in imaging studies of tumors, including melanoma and cancers that express folate receptors, such as cervical cancer.
