TLD-1433

Photodynamic Antiviral Agent

TLD-1433 is a fourth-generation ruthenium (II) based photodynamic compound (PDC) that functions as a photodynamic antiviral agent. Activated by green light at 525 ± 25 nm, it efficiently generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) to inactivate a broad range of pathogens. TLD-1433 significantly induces lipid peroxidation of viral membranes, targeting both enveloped viruses, such as H1N1 and coronaviruses, with ID50 values in the nanomolar range, and non-enveloped viruses, requiring micromolar concentrations for effective inactivation. Additionally, TLD-1433 possesses antigen retention properties and is suitable for preparing inactivated vaccines.
