Tricin

CMV Inhibitor

Tricin is a natural flavonoid with a primary mechanism of action as a cytomegalovirus (CMV) inhibitor, specifically targeting CDK9 to impede HCMV replication. Additionally, Tricin exhibits significant anti-proliferative and anti-invasive effects on C6 glioma cells through the upregulation of microRNA-7, which targets focal adhesion kinase (FAK). This compound is valuable for research applications focused on viral infection and cancer treatment strategies.
