TROX-1

Cav2.2 Inhibitor

TROX-1 is a selective inhibitor of the N-type calcium channel Cav2.2, demonstrating an IC50 value of 0.11 μM. This orally active compound exhibits state-dependent and use-dependent inhibition, specifically targeting open and inactivated channels to block depolarization-induced calcium influx. TROX-1 effectively reverses inflammatory-induced hyperalgesia and nerve injury-induced allodynia, making it a valuable tool in pain research. Its ability to penetrate the brain enhances its potential in studying central nervous system-related pain mechanisms.
