Trypanothione Reductase Inhibitor

Trypanothione synthetase-IN-5 is a potent inhibitor of trypanothione reductase (TR), demonstrating an IC50 of 20.5 μM against Leishmania infantum TR. Additionally, it shows inhibitory effects on human glutathione reductase (hGR) with an IC50 of 62.4 μM. This compound is valuable for research into trypanosomatid parasites and oxidative stress pathways, making it useful for investigating therapeutic targets in parasitic infections and related diseases.
