VK-28
Iron Chelator
VK-28 is a brain-permeable iron chelator that effectively inhibits both basal and Fe/ascorbate-induced mitochondrial membrane lipid peroxidation, exhibiting an IC50 of 12.7 μM. This compound demonstrates significant neuroprotective effects in the ICV-6-OHDA model. VK-28 is valuable for research focused on Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.
