mGlu5 Receptor PAM
VU0360172 hydrochloride is a potent and selective positive allosteric modulator (PAM) of the mGlu5 receptor, exhibiting an EC50 value of 16 nM and a Ki of 195 nM. It enhances polyphosphoinositide (PI) hydrolysis in vivo, a process that is abolished in mice lacking the mGlu5 receptor gene.
