WWL123 analogue-1

ABHD6 Inhibitor

WWL123 analogue-1 is a selective inhibitor of the serine hydrolase ABHD6, exhibiting an IC50 of 430 nM. This compound effectively crosses the blood-brain barrier, allowing it to inhibit ABHD6 within the central nervous system. Research has shown that blockade of ABHD6 by WWL123 analogue-1 may confer antiepileptic effects, demonstrated through reduction of seizures in both Pentylenetetrazole-induced models and spontaneous seizure models such as R6/2 mice. This makes it a valuable tool for studying neurological disorders and the role of lipid signaling in epilepsy.
