YS 035 hydrochloride
Ca2+ antagonist
YS 035 hydrochloride is a calcium ion (Ca2+) antagonist that effectively inhibits the cellular uptake and mitochondrial efflux of calcium ions. It specifically targets Ca2+ uptake in muscle cells and impedes the Na+/Ca2+ exchange with an inhibition constant (Ki) of 28 µM. This compound serves as a valuable tool for studying mitochondrial Ca2+ transport mechanisms and related physiological processes.
