Zoniporide hydrochloride

NHE-1 Inhibitor

Zoniporide hydrochloride is a selective inhibitor of sodium-hydrogen exchanger type 1 (NHE-1), demonstrating an IC50 of 14 nM against human NHE-1 while exhibiting over 150-fold selectivity for this isoform compared to others. It effectively inhibits NHE-1-dependent swelling of human platelets with an IC50 of 59 nM. Zoniporide hydrochloride serves as a valuable tool in research related to cardiovascular conditions and cellular pH regulation, facilitating studies on the physiological roles of NHE-1 in various biological contexts.
