Zoniporide mesylate

NHE-1 Inhibitor

Zoniporide mesylate is a selective inhibitor of the sodium-hydrogen exchanger isoform 1 (NHE-1) with notable cardioprotective properties. It effectively reduces 22Na+ uptake in human NHE-1-expressing fibroblasts with an IC50 of 14 nM and demonstrates the ability to inhibit platelet swelling in vitro with an IC50 of 0.059 μM.
