It enhances the expression of brown adipocyte-specific genes within white adipose tissue and promotes fatty acid β-oxidation in hepatocytes. This compound has been shown to mitigate insulin resistance and inflammation triggered by palmitate or high-fat diets via an AMPK–PPARδ-dependent pathway in murine models. Additionally, 3-Aminoisobutyric acid sodium salt is a catabolic metabolite of thymine and valine in skeletal muscle.
