Antimicrobial agent-1 is an antimicrobial compound targeting Gram-negative bacteria, particularly effective against TolC mutant Escherichia coli, demonstrating a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 2 μg/mL. This agent exhibits synergistic activity when combined with Colistin, enhancing its efficacy against resistant strains. Importantly, Antimicrobial agent-1 shows low cytotoxicity in mammalian cell lines, with MIC values exceeding 128 μg/mL in Caco-2 and Vero cell lines, making it a promising candidate for further research in antimicrobial therapies.
