Antitubercular agent-32

Antitubercular Agent

Antitubercular agent-32 is a derivative of benzothiazinone that specifically inhibits Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This compound demonstrates improved metabolic stability and enhanced aqueous solubility, making it a valuable tool for antitubercular research. Antitubercular agent-32 exerts its effects primarily by targeting decaprenylphosphoryl-β-D-ribose 2’-oxidase (DprE1), with an IC50 value of 3.9 μM, thereby contributing to the fight against tuberculosis.
