Avatrombopag hydrochloride

TPO Receptor Agonist

Avatrombopag hydrochloride is a nonpeptide thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist with an EC50 of 3.3 nM. It effectively mimics the biological actions of TPO, leading to enhanced platelet production by activating intracellular signaling pathways and promoting the differentiation of megakaryocytes and platelets from hematopoietic precursor cells. This compound serves as a valuable tool for research focused on disorders of thrombocytopenia and related hematological studies. Avatrombopag hydrochloride is also metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes CYP2C9 and CYP3A.
