BDM31343
Ethionamide Synergist
BDM31343 is an effective synergist for Ethionamide, targeting the transcriptional repressor EthR in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. By inhibiting EthR, BDM31343 enhances the activity of Ethionamide by relieving its suppression of the EthA activator, ultimately improving its efficacy against the pathogen. With an IC₅₀ of 3.3 μM, BDM31343 effectively disrupts EthR binding to DNA, making it a valuable tool for research focused on anti-Mycobacterium tuberculosis strategies.
